KARLYN BUDZ - STUDENT COUNCIL - FRESHMAN
Ms. Budz graduated from Joliet Catholic Academy in 2016. She earned her Bachelors of Education in Science from Loras College in 2020. She chose to return to her alma mater because of the environment and family aspect. She feels that JCA fosters creative in the classroom and collaborative learning.

JACKIE PULLARA - STUDENT COUNCIL - JUNIORS
Mrs. Pullara will be the Student Council Moderator for the juniors, class of ’23, this year. At JCA, Mrs. Pullara serves as our College/Career Counselor, working with mostly juniors and seniors. She enjoys working with Student Council to help bring about a sense of community and instill JCA traditions that she remembers from her time as a student at JCA. Outside of work, Mrs. Pullara enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, Kate and Liam.

JENNIFER SZYNAL - BAND, DRAMA, AND STUDENT COUNCIL
Ms. Szynal is a graduate of Illinois State University (Bachelors of Music Education) and Concordia University Chicago (Master of Arts in Educational Technology and Leadership). This is her 16th year at JCA. Her responsibilities at JCA include World Music, Guitar, Band, Theatre Arts, Executive Student Council Moderator, and the JCA Drama Club Moderator. She was awarded the Joliet Area Great Teachers Award in 2015, given honors in Who’s Who Among Teachers in America 2008 and 2010, and directed JCA’s 2016 Theatre Fest Production of “The Importance of Being Earnest.” She has worked on productions with Lewis University, Lemont High School, and with the Fox Valley Park District as a director for their Applause series and Adult productions. Jennifer also performs with the College of DuPage Community Band, Sinfonetta Bel Canto, and Encore Band. She also served as an Illinois Theatre Association Play Respondant for the 2017 - 2018 school year. Recently, she received the honor of becoming a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert for the 2021 - 2022 School Year.

TIM VOLLMER - DRAMA
Tim Vollmer is a graduate of Lewis University with a BA in Theatre and English Education. He has been involved in over 30 JCA productions as lighting designer, technical director, assistant director, and director. Mr. Vollmer also assists with the National English Honors Society and American Sign Language clubs at JCA. He as appeared onstage in numerous productions, with his favorites being Leo Bloom in “The Producers,” Lefou in “Beauty and the Beast,” George in “The Drowsy Chaperone,” and “Legally Blonde” at Lewis University’s Philip Lynch Theatre. He also appeared in Latitude 41’s production of “Cabaret,” as the lead in “The 39 Steps,” and as a Phantom in “Rocky Horror Picture Show.”
